Westbury House
January 2000

Client: Braemore Properties Limited

Contract Value: £600,000 (approx)

Westbury House, a Grade II Listed Building, is located close to the north entrance of the Park Estate Nottingham, a private and exclusive residential area of some historical significance. It was converted in 1999 to 8 high specification apartments.

A number of original features were retained through the scheme, the most impressive being the original central staircases serving apartments on the upper floors.

This development exemplifies our approach to such schemes: the maximisation of floor area. The original barrel vaulted ceilings to the basements were exposed, emphasised and incorporated into the new living areas on the lower ground floor, the dramatic access to these areas through the rear glazed element heightening the drama of this space. Roof terraces were also formed for the 2 penthouse apartments.
